Gross Annual Method - (Gross Annual Income 12) X .3 = Maximum monthly rental income For example: If you make $66,000 annually you can qualify for spending up to $1,1650 a month on rent. The math: ($66,000 12) X .3 = $1,650 Gross Monthly Method - (Monthly Rent X 3) = Minimum monthly rental income For example, If the rent on an apartment costs $1,650 per month, then you must gross a minimum of $4,950 per month in income. The math: $1,6500 X 3 = $4,950 2. Credit: A credit report is required for all applicants on the lease. A minimum credit rating of 670 is required.
