Walking and hiking trails nearby. 15 min. ride to UConn and 20 min. ride to Hartford. There are two available parking spots in the private driveway. There is a private walkway from the driveway to the in-law apartment. The backyard is around .75 acres. The in-law apartment was built in 2007 and is fully furnished. It has all wood floors, except in the bathroom and kitchen. There is a very conveniently placed washer and dryer in the apartment. It's in a big closet in the bathroom. This is a very quite household, in a family neighborhood, which is ideal for a serious graduate student or professional person. There is no television, for that you are on your own. There is a hypoallergenic dog on the property in the main house. His name Charlie, and he loves everybody. There is a mandatory background check which will cost the perspective tenant $40.00. There will probably be renters default insurance at (as I remember) $16.00 per month. There is around one car every 1/2 hour on the street. There are houses all around, which is good for safety. The last crime in this neighborhood was probably a teenager getting stoned in his parents' basement. The neighbors are friendly, even by New England standards. Easy access to the state's capital and other areas via the roads that run parallel through the neighborhood, Interstate 84, Highway 44, and Highway 6, make Mansfield-Tolland-Willington a perfect spot for commuters and families looking to settle down. The community is also ideal for students as the University of Connecticut is located towards the center of town. Casual restaurants near campus and throughout town provide residents with a variety of dining options while large shopping centers and malls allow for easy access to necessities.
