The home is furnished and is a "turn-key" rental home. It is a perfect situation for new Virginia Tech hires, Corporate Research Center hires, visiting professors, post-docs, sabbaticals, NRV professionals, etc. Of course, if you just want to spend some time in living in Blacksburg, it works for that, too. You can arrive with some suitcases and be ready to live here. It is a dedicated furnished rental home, not a house that we are vacating temporarily. For the past six years all the families who have rented the home have enjoyed living here. We've been in Blacksburg 4 decades and there are very few properties, anywhere near this price, available. For those of you wondering, we don't take undergrads in this property. The house is clean, well-furnished, and comfy. We extensively check backgrounds and verify income streams. - While we love pets, we don't allow pets in this rental. Sorry. - Tenant pays utilities (water, trash, electric), mows yard, does basic leave/yard maintenance. Internet cable is available from Comcast. Sorry, but we will not remove our furniture and items from the home, so that it can be rented empty. We do have multiple bed configurations and can make adjustments for that, though. - References available to speak for us and the home. - The targeted lease duration is 1 a year lease. The listed rent is the monthly price if leasing for 1 year or more. If you are looking for a furnished short term or seasonal lease, we may consider it - depending on the time of year. Anything less than 1 year will have an increase in monthly price, which increases as the time shortens. If you need multiple year lease, we'd be happy to discuss that. While this may sound a little odd, I need to say the following. If you do not message me with a sentence that indicates that you have read the description above, I am unlikely to respond to you. So tell me why you're interested, when you need it, how many people, or anything. I do not respond to people, who just click every zillow listing, saying they want a tour -without even reading the description. It's A LOT of requests, so please indicate that you have read this description when you contact me. Note: I often find that messages sent through the Zillow interface often get filtered into junk mail (on both ends). So watch out for that. And while I am sympathetic to families looking to buy a house like this is Blacksburg, this home is not for sale.
