Rustic, furnished cabin in a serene and quiet location at the foot of West Kill Mountain, in the burgeoning Spruceton Valley area. Within walking distance of West Kill Brewing and Spruceton Inn Bed and Bar. Many scenic miles of NYSDEC hiking trails nearby, with Devil's Path and Diamond Notch trail heads and parking less than a 5-minute drive away. About 22 minutes to Phoenicia (Sportsman's Alamo, Brio Pizza, Woodstock Brewing, Phoenicia Diner, Catskills River Run Rail Explorers, Town Tinker Tuber Rentals, Phoenicia Playhouse). This home is set up as a 2 BR with plus an office/large dining area, plus a sleeper sofa in the living area. The maximum occupancy is 6 persons. There is an eat-in kitchen. The large fully enclosed screened-in porch has a comfy sitting area, a large picnic table, and connects to an outdoor wood deck (Propane grill included) with great views of West Kill Mountain and lovely meadows with abundant wildlife (deer turkey etc.). There is a stone fire pit in the field right behind the house, surrounded by mountain views and a sky full of stars in the evening. There is a detached garage which can provide some additional storage space for bulkier items. There is a level gravel parking area that holds three cars, right outside your door. The West Kill Creek is stocked with trout, and you can walk right out your door to go trout fishing if desired (fishing license required). Phoenicia, Hunter, Windham, Shandaken, and Pine Hill/Fleischmanns are each about a 20-25-minute drive away, while Woodstock and Kingston are about 45-50 minutes away. Please note that we maintain an infrequently-used garage below the residence, where we keep our lawn tractors, etc. This rental is intended to be for 6-12 months. Tenant pays for wi-fi, electric, and renters' insurance, weekly garbage/recycling removal and any other desired utilities, services, or insurance. Dogs (2 max.) are allowed with a separate pet security deposit. The house has well water (you will need bottled water for drinking and cooking).
