This is a newly renovated, midcentury modern single story home. It includes an open floor plan with the kitchen (all electric, with a dishwasher), walk-in pantry, dining and living room (home to a wood burning fireplace) on one side, and the bedrooms on the other side (along with the washer/dryer). The bedrooms are at-once roomy and cozy, with large closets in each. The primary bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, a walk-in closet, and an attached, but separate den/office/nursery. The house is pet friendly (with a non-refundable pet deposit of $500, in addition to the refundable security deposit of one month rent). Included utilities include water, trash, internet, lawn maintenance and snow removal. Electric and heating (gas) are NOT included. The area immediately surrounding the property is rich with natural upstate beauty and loads of woodland creatures (all spotted recently near the house: groundhogs, rabbits, deer and even coyotes!), and the land across the street is a protected wildlife preserve that is home to a lovely walking trail and a cacophony of migrating birds and butterflies. Further afield, you'll have easy access to highway 9W (and all the conveniences along it, including Target, Hannaford (grocery), Lowe's, etc), the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge and the charming neighboring towns of Kingston, Saugerties, Red Hook and Rhinebeck (all within 15 minutes drive). The Amtrak station at Rhinecliff is also 15 minutes drive (Poughkeepsie station is about 35 minutes away). Owner covers internet, water, trash, lawn maintenance and snow removal. Renter is responsible for electricity and heat (oil). Driveway parking only. Garage is shared between owner and renter and owner reserves the right to access the garage at any time; renter can use the garage for storage but not parking.
