Welcome to our charming Oak Island cottage, just a short ten-minute walk from the beach! This centrally-located and stylishly designed home is the perfect place to relax and unwind, allowing you to truly embrace the laid-back atmosphere of the island. Inside, you'll find a fully stocked kitchen complete with a washer and dryer for your convenience. The open floor plan showcases beautiful pine tongue and groove ceilings and shiplap walls, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The dedicated work station with a desk and chair provides a comfortable space for those who need to catch up on work or connect with loved ones. Our Beach Shack Bungalow has been recently renovated and offers peek-a-boo views of the Intracoastal waterway. We take pride in using eco-friendly products throughout the house, ensuring a safe and sustainable environment for our guests. All soaps and cleaning products are free from dyes, chemicals, and are biodegradable. The bungalow features two bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed and a smart TV. The attached bathroom in one of the bedrooms includes a walk-in closet, while the hall bathroom is equipped with a shower/tub combo. The seafoam couch in the living room can also be converted into a queen bed, offering additional sleeping space. Step outside through the side front door and you'll find a fully fenced and private backyard. Here, you can enjoy the refreshing outdoor shower, which is spacious enough for the whole family. The backyard also features a cozy lounging area with chairs, tables, and beautiful string lighting. For outdoor enthusiasts, several parks are just a short distance away. May Moore Park is located right across the street, Shipwreck Park is a two minute walk down Barbee Blvd, and Yaupon Park/Beach Strand/Fishing Pier can be reached by the end of Barbee Blvd. Within a few blocks, you'll find local hot spots such as coffee shops, Oak Island breweries, unique shops, and an ice cream parlor. Take a 10-minute drive to Fort Caswell to visit the Oak Island lighthouse and explore the rich history of the area. Oak Island is a great base for exploring other nearby towns and beaches. Southport is just an 18-minute drive away, Holden Beach is 35 minutes, Wilmington is 45 minutes, and Myrtle Beach is an hour away. We provide all the essential amenities you'll need for a comfortable stay, including bed linens, towels, a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We also supply hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher pods, and laundry pods. Please note that toilet paper and paper towels are provided in limited supply, so if you have a longer reservation, we recommend bringing your own supplies. We understand that your four-legged companions are part of your family, which is why we warmly welcome well-behaved pets in our pet-friendly cottage. With a 6-foot fence surrounding the backyard, you can rest easy knowing that your pets will have a safe and contained space to play and explore. We kindly ask that pets stay off the beds and furniture and that you clean up after them using the provided poop bags. Please do not leave any pets unattended, as you will be responsible for any damages that may occur. There is a refundable pet fee of $250 due with security deposit. For your furry friends, we offer pet-related items such as bowls, towels, toys, and a bed. We kindly ask that you do not take any pet-related items with you when you leave to ensure the same pleasant experience for the next furry guest. Guests will have access to the entire cottage, free parking, and storage for beach equipment. The keyless entry located at the side door provides easy access to the mud room, where a work station is available. Enjoy the convenience of high-speed internet throughout the property. Getting around is easy on foot, with the nearest beach access just a quick 10-minute walk away. The beaches in Oak Island are dog friendly, so don't forget to bring water and shade for your furry friend. We also provide beach chairs, beach towels, and ladderball for your enjoyment. Smoking, including vaping, is not permitted on the property. Guests who violate this policy will be subject to fines, an increased cleaning fee, and reimbursement for any damages.
