FULLY FURNISHED, charming mountain cabin available for month to month lease, built in 1924, located 5 minutes from Evergreen. Updated with all the modern conveniences! Kick back and relax in this peaceful, cozy cabin. Sit on the porch with your coffee while listening to the sound of the wind in the tree's, sip hot chocolate by the fire pit and watch the stars, or go for a hike on nearby trails or around the small neighborhood of historic homes. This cabin offers mountain views with awesome southern exposure, so it is often filled with warm Colorado sunshine most of the day. The space The upper level includes the main bedroom with a king size bed and futon. The cabin has one full bathroom with a shower/tub, as well as a laundry area with a new washer and dryer. The updated kitchen has everything you would need for cooking during your stay (dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, crock pot, blender, baking dishes, pots and pans...). Enjoy the beautifully decorated living room with a fireplace (just for aesthetics, sorry it's not to be used) and a 43 inch television. The dining room table seats 6 and is surrounded by windows and mountain views. Down the spiral staircase is the lower level with a king size bed, a futon, and a bistro table and chairs. The lower level also has a separate outside entrance. The outdoor area includes a patio with chairs and a gas fire pit. Outdoor blankets are provided as well. This is where you can listen to silence and enjoy the mountain views! The neighborhood values keeping it dark in the evenings to enjoy the amazing stars. The cabin also has some puzzles, kid and adult books, and games for indoor days. CABIN VIBES: This cabin is 100 years old and is nestled in the woods. Even with all of the upgrades, it does have old cabin quirks. You might encounter spiders, mice, rusty water (just when you first turn on the faucet)...You could also encounter wildlife such as bears, mountain lions and deer. Please consider whether cabin life is right for you before booking. We do not provide refunds due to old cabin quirks. Also, there is an old neighborhood hound dog that likes to visit, he is harmless but does like to beg for treats. It's best not to feed him or he will keep coming back! DRIVING, DEER, and WINTER CONDITIONS: You will see deer or elk on the drive to Edelweiss Cabin. They tend to be everywhere so please drive carefully and pay attention to the wildlife. The main road leading to the cabin is newly paved and plowed all winter, but the last half mile is a dirt road. You could encounter snowy conditions in the winter. An all-wheel or a 4WD vehicle is highly recommended from Oct-April. We do not provide last-minute refunds due to the weather. Please consider trip insurance if you think you might need to cancel. Guest access The road leading to our street has been newly paved and offers beautiful views. Just 6 minutes from Downtown Evergreen. Driveway easily accommodates 2 vehicles. There is a second driveway that accesses the upper part of the property for additional access and parking. Other things to note This cabin is in a very quiet and peaceful area and we hope our guests can find the serenity and rest they are seeking. The Colorado sun brings a lot of warmth, even when temperatures are low. There are hiking trails that you can access in walking distance from the house. They offer spectacular panoramic views of the mountains, with mountain homes dotting the hills. The small neighborhood of historic cabins is a tight knit community with lovely people. We have put a lot of work and detail into this cabin and hope that our guests respect the space by caring well for the property, both inside and out, and show respect to the neighbors who are there long term. Edelweiss cabin is a great launching point for your Colorado adventures. It is 25 minutes from Red Rocks Amphitheater and the quaint town of Morrison. Historic Evergreen is just 6 minutes away and offers eclectic boutique shopping, gift and craft stores, art galleries, and variety of restaurants, bistro's, bars, breweries, and even a winery. A river runs through the town and some restaurants provide dining along the river with live music. Tenant pays electricity, gas and internet. Water sewer and trash paid by owner.
