Situated on a quiet road in the Georgica area of East Hampton Village, meticulously and beautifully renovated with the highest-end appliances and finishes throughout, in inspiration from the French film "La Femme Infidele," architect Edward W. Slater created a classic gentilhommiere, which he defined as "a country house belonging to nobles who followed the king's taste but were not of royalty." The architect created a classical symmetry by building the two-story house in the shape of a modified u. Among the many stylish design elements in the recent gut renovation, the owner has maintained the integrity of the original design in the most elegant way. The great room has a double-height ceiling with exposed trusses for a formal but comfortable feel. The landscaping has been meticulously planned with London plain trees and espaliers, all elegantly pruned. Truly a one-of-a-kind house.
