Welcome to Old Colorado City! This old Victorian style house is a wonderful place to feel relaxed and have welcoming home. The front of the house has an enclosed fence with landscaped rock and trees with parking for several cars available. The front foyer has a built-in storage area with small desk area. There is also enough area to park your bikes with proper floor covering. The foyer is connected to the front seating area. This area has two built-in bookshelves, a window nook area, and has ample space for couch, chairs for entertaining. The dining room and TV room are connected to the front room. The dining room is large enough for a buffet and a large dining room table. There is a built-in shelf and a closet in the dining room for storage as well as a storage cabinet. The dining room is connected to the kitchen a small but functional kitchen with a gas range, dishwasher, refrigerator, and double sink. The downstairs bathroom is a full bathroom with a long cabinet and storage cabinets. The mudroom is connected to the kitchen with a washer and dryer as well as another storage cabinet. The stairs are original to the house so there is a rail installed for safety and the stairs have been gritted for extra traction. There are two regular sized bedrooms and a half door room that can be a children's bedroom or a reading nook ect. The master bedroom has a half bathroom and tall closet. The second bedroom also has a deep closet and a tall window. Back to the downstairs the yard is connected to the mudroom with a small deck. The large, enclosed yard is able to accommodate a dog and does have a small swing set. The yard leads to the garage. This is a single car garage and comes on a separate lease. Behind the house there is the midland trail that can connect you by bike, foot, or other human powered transportation to the America the Beautiful Park and downtown Colorado Springs or west to Manitou Springs. The Old Colorado City boast connection to the main areas of Colorado Springs but has an established neighborhood feel. Come and see the house to believe it. The lease is very specific as we are trying to empower the renter to feel like they have an investment in the property themselves. The lease is for 6 months and then go month to month. There is a refund of 50.00 a month to the renter if they do all standard home maintenace for the home. This is all outlined in the lease which can be available upon request. The utilities are all in your name, the dog has to be well taken care of without constant barking that would bother the neighbors. The communication of what is going on around the house and any issues that come up are expected. There is a separate pet fee for furry friends.
