The home is bordered by expansive national forest. It is known in the canyon as an occasional venue for local live music, gathering space for our community, and having large gardens. For 40+ years this has been a house where gatherings of local musicians have taken place - it has a magical energy. I live on the property in a small cabin near the house. The perks: - The house is on 2.5 acres of mountain property - Private access to Arapaho National Forest and private hiking trails from the house - House is newly painted - Extensive garden space available - Access to Fourmile Creek which runs through the property and is great for swimming in Summer months. - Opportunity to meet great people in the mountain community The house has three bedrooms: Master bedroom with its own wood stove and hearth, and an attached second room Garden Room: bilevel sunny room with french doors leading out to the gardens and creek below Upstairs Balcony Room: Sunny room up a spiral staircase with attached balcony looking out into the forest and attached office space adjacent to bedroom. Logistics: - 4WD is highly recommended for wintertime. If you do not have it you should carry sand with you and be prepared to shovel out your car in case of heavy snow. - Wood heating is required in the house. You will need to buy firewood or chop it yourself. Burning wood in the winter saves lots of money as the house is designed to hold heat with wood stoves. - I live on the property in the adjacent cabin and use the house to do laundry. Ideal Candidates: The best fit for this opportunity will love living close to nature and appreciate mountain living while still having proximity to town, enjoy having access to garden space in the summertime and hiking trails nearby, and play or enjoy listening to live music and occasional community gatherings on the property. I am a musician and organize these gatherings every once in a while, and you are also be welcome to do so. I operate a mushroom farm in Boulder and spend a good amount of time there. One year lease preferred. Utilities not included but are limited to electricity, internet, and propane fill (usually only once per year). Tenants should secure their own firewood as wood heating dramatically reduces electricity and propane costs in the winter. Pets are OK.
