Welcome to our luxury 4 bedroom 2 bath FURNISHED rental. Just 14 minutes to Cortland, NY and 25 minutes to Ithaca, NY, this rental is close to it all, but provides a rural setting for quiet living. This rental is an Airbnb in the summer season and is available for 2-5 month rentals in the winter season. @thehiddengemflx is the perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. You'll be surrounded by nature with views of either our beautiful garden or neighboring the pastoral organic dairy farms from every window. First Floor On the first floor you will find: the grand staircase, living room, sitting area, family room, kitchen, dining room, office, laundry room and the bathroom. When you enter the home you are greeted by the elegant design throughout the house which blends art highlighting the region's natural beauty, modern textures and patterns with antique wooden furniture. Our sitting area invites you to settle into our home while providing hooks for your hats, purses and coats. The original wide plank hardwood floors create an immediate feeling of historic charm. Immediately to your left you'll enter our family room which features a 8 person sectional (which can transform into a modern queen size sleeper sofa), crystal chandelier, wavy glass windows, a large flat screen TV and black out curtains. The original grand staircase and double door front entrance are the perfect spot for bridal, engagement and family photos. Enjoy the wood burning stove, crystal chandelier, coffered ceilings and large flat screen TV in the stately living room. In the first floor bathroom, enjoy a bath in our clawfoot tub and when you get out your feet will be happy to walk on the heated bathroom floors. Our shelf lined hallway provides board games, child activity items, and books. Our modern kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances, a large island, ample storage and nearly every cooking appliance and utensil you will need. The large dining room can seat up to 10 comfortably. The bay windows provide plenty of natural light. The coffee bar/ buffet cabinets provide additional space for entertaining. The dedicated office space with a standing desk looks out over the rear deck and provides views of the back garden and barn. The laundry room has a high efficiency washer and dryer that we invite our guests to use. Second Floor The second floor features 4 bedrooms, a reading nook, a sitting area and an upstairs bathroom. The Main Bedroom is complete with king size bed, black out curtains, flat screen TV, a walk-in closet and sitting area. It has direct access to the shared upstairs bathroom. The Second Bedroom features a queen size bed, room darkening shades and plenty of storage in the closet and dresser. The Third bedroom accommodates up to 5 people on our full size bunk beds with trundle. There's also plenty of room for luggage in the attached closet The Loft bedroom has a twin size daybed with a pull out trundle, two skylights for enjoying the night sky and a private closet space. Enjoy the dual headed shower, towel warming bar, ample storage and European bidet in the large upstairs bathroom. Outdoors You can truly appreciate nature on our 3 acres of private land which feature a front porch, side porch and rear deck complete with a gas grill and outdoor living room. In the garden, you will find a tire swing, a hammock, and space to hang our two hammock chairs. Our property is the ideal place to enjoy nature, a special occasion photo shoot, a star-filled night sky or host a family gathering (with approval).
