This well-curated and well-loved 2-bed/1-bath house is mere steps away from the finest restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and boutiques in town, as well as one block from our local organic grocery (Willy St Co-Op), in the heart of the Wil-Mar neighborhood, only two blocks from the lakefront and half a block to the Metro bus stop. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and plenty of closet/storage space, and the second bedroom has a queen-size bed. There is also a third bedroom which has been converted to an office. For music and literature aficionados, the house boasts a formidable book and record collection, a working/playable organ, and a warm/relaxed vibe. There are brand-new furnace/central AC units, and washer/dryer in the basement (along with additional storage). A full back porch/patio (perfect for lounging) opens to the driveway, where parking is available. For cyclists, you'll notice the bike in the photos, which is yours to use! Please wear your helmet. :) The Wil-Mar neighborhood is renowned for its eateries, boutiques, cafes, parks, music, culture, and personality, and the local community is generous and peaceful. No smoking in this property (though outdoor/back porch is an option), no cats (dogs can be discussed), and dates are flexible. Tenant pays most utilities (water, gas/electric), owner pays for wifi. No smoking of any kind in the property (back porch outside if necessary). Pets are negotiable. In winter months, sidewalk/crosswalk must be cleared of snow within 24 hours of snowfall to avoid ticketing. Front row shrubs must be kept trimmed clear of sidewalk. Prefer rentals of 6 months or longer, but month-to-month can be negotiated, along with a lower security deposit for a shorter stay.
